How WebsiteLeadFinder collects, uses, and protects your information.
This page explains, in plain language, what information WebsiteLeadFinder collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is provided for general information and is not legal advice.
Information we collect
- Account information such as your name and email when you sign up.
- Billing information processed by our payment provider when you upgrade. We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data such as the searches you run and leads you save, so the product works and improves.
- Technical data such as device and log information collected automatically to keep the service secure and reliable.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To respond to support requests and send service updates.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse.
Business listing data
The business listings in your results are real Google Business Profiles. Website grades come from our own proprietary scoring algorithm, built on our analysis of publicly available websites and Google PageSpeed data. This information is provided to help you identify sales prospects and is your responsibility to use in line with applicable laws and any third-party terms.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to remember which marketing campaign brought you here. Those are essential and always on. The analytics and advertising tools below are not loaded until you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner shown on your first visit; choosing "Essential only" keeps them off. Each sets its own cookies or similar identifiers when enabled:
- Google Analytics measures traffic to our marketing pages: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and how they found us.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel measures whether our advertising works, for example whether someone who clicked an ad later signed up. This shares limited event data (such as page visits and signups) with Meta for advertising measurement and audience building.
- PostHog is our product analytics tool. It records how the product is used (pages viewed, features tried) tied to a random user identifier, not your email.
- Cloudflare Turnstile protects our sign-in form from bots. Cloudflare processes technical signals such as your IP address and browser characteristics to tell humans apart from automated traffic. Because it exists solely to keep the service secure, it runs without consent.
- Sentryis our error monitoring service. When something breaks, technical details about the failure (the error, the page, your browser and device type, and network information such as your IP address) are sent to Sentry so we can find and fix it. Error monitoring runs without consent because it is necessary to keep the service working. Sentry's session replay feature, which reconstructs what was on screen around an error, runs only if you accepted cookies.
You can change your cookie choice at any time. This button forgets your saved choice and shows the banner again:
The advertising data shared with Meta may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act. You can opt out at any time by choosing "Essential only" in the cookie banner, by emailing us at the address below, or with browser-level controls such as blocking third-party cookies.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers who help us run the product, and only as needed to deliver the service: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Google (business listings, website performance data, and analytics), Meta (advertising measurement, described above), PostHog (product analytics), Cloudflare (bot protection), and Sentry (error monitoring).
Data retention and security
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it. Search history and website analysis results are retained even after you remove them from your dashboard: deleting a search hides it from your account, and we keep the underlying records to operate and improve the service, for example to make our website scoring and technology detection more accurate. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
You can access, update, or delete your account information from your settings, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data.
